Arrival of 2-6 MeV Betatron High Energy X-Ray Unit
Aerotech Inspection & NDT Ltd is proud to announce the arrival of their new 2-6MeV Betatron High Energy X-Ray Unit. Unlike conventional method of radiography, the 2-6 MeV Betatron allows us to penetrate steel up to 300mm thick and concrete up to a metre thick. The Radiographs are produced to a higher quality than its Cobalt and Iridium counterparts at a much faster pace. The new Betatron had been installed at Aerotech’s third site in Gornal, which is conveniently located within the West Midlands close to all major transport links. The facility is a purpose built radiation exposure bay measuring 19m long x 4.5meters wide and 3.8m high. It also benefits from a 5 tonne overhead crane, which enables us to inspect large castings and components.
